Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

PodKit is a Chrome extension that uses AI to convert long articles into a short, engaging audio conversation between two people. It gives you the key takeaways of the text, without the excess fluff. You can play the audio immediately, or listen later using any podcast app.

Once you have PodKit installed, click 'Listen to Summary' in the extension sidebar. A new episode will be generated and added to your podcast feed. You can listen to it with Chrome, or play it later using any podcast app.

How much does it cost?

You can buy credits in packs of 50, 150, or 350. Unused credits never expire. One credit can be used to generate one episode. Very long webpages (1500+ words) may require more than one credit. The credit cost appears in the extension sidebar before you generate an episode.

How does the free trial work?

When you sign up, you'll get 10 free credits to try out PodKit. You can use these credits to listen to any article on the web.

How do I listen to my audio?

You can listen to your audio using the Chrome extension, on the PodKit website, or by using any podcast app on your mobile device.

How long is an episode?

An episode is approximately 3-5 minutes long, making it the ideal length for a quick summary of an article.

What webpages are supported?

PodKit will automatically detect and convert any article on the web. It works best with long-form content, such as blog posts, news articles, YouTube videos, Wikipedia pages, etc. Reddit posts are supported, but other websites with threaded comments are not. It does not work with audio or interactive content at this time.

PodKit is being actively developed and improved upon. If you find a webpage that doesn't work, please get in touch and we'll do our best to fix it.
